Original Texas Chippendale Chair
Designed and built in 1990, this chair
won the LADM award of that year and was featured in
several publications, including FineWoodWorking
magazine. The date of this precedes the faddish
popularity of the current texana/star furniture that is
being mass produced in Mexico, and far exceeds the
quality and detail of those pieces being offered on the
market. The original Texas Chippendale is built by
custom order only.

Maple rocking Chair made with figured maple.

Windsor Chairs are made from local woods using
traditional methods of harvesting and drying
green wood, during the assembly process,
guaranteeing a quality product made to last for
generations. The Walnut chest was made from
Texas Walnut, cut from the client's back yard!
From sawmill to finished product, we brought
this piece from the yard to the bedroom. Each
tier is resting on the lower one and are
assembled with hand-cut dovetails as are the
drawers. Lower drawers are cedar lined!

Chest of drawers is made with
mesquite wood and uses hand-cut dovetail drawers
fitted on wood runners.

and tear droplets serve as decorative handles
for the 2 door cabinet.

These pieces were built in
1990. The Chair has detailed ball and claw feet,
the crest rail has a carving of a sleeping
Armadillo, and a relief of The Alamo is on the
back slat below the faceted Texas Star. I have
been commissioned to built the chair and desk
several times since this original.

Sleigh-style frame, made of Cherry, is
accentuated by the bent spindles that follow the
contour of the bed design. Made of cherry and
bird's-eye Maple. Unfortunately the
photo-quality doesn't reflect the true beauty of

Walnut chairs and Chess table
Custom made table and chair
set, designed for a client's parlor. Details
include hand cut mortise and tenon joinery and
hand-carved Ball and Claw feet. Made of Texas
Walnut with mixed Mesquite and Maple veneers to
accent chess board. |
This Half-Round reception desk is made of walnut
and select walnut veneers. The top has a veneer
inlay of cross grain following the center and
joining three "star" patterns at respective
intervals. Beautifully distressed finish with a
single drawer inside the circle. |
This custom bronze stand was designed
with Western flair! With hand-carved rope moulding and
faceted Texas stars on the leg blocks, this piece is
made of local grown Texas Walnut!
